Thats the exact same cable i used to update my axe to v10 theres a cupple of minor steps u need to take ffirst off, it wont detect ya axe, so go into settings of axe edit and click on use usb - midi cable for both in and out put then click test usb midi cable, u should see the midi light flashing on the axe and the cable then just update as normal i havent had any problems uploading user patchs and stuff ither only down side is it wont detect ya axe, but who cares so long as u get ya siva cleaaaaannnnnnnnnn. Hello all, First time poster I bought one of these cables (different store, different country, but looks exactly the same). I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and it shows in Device Manager as 'USB Midi Cable'. However, when I try to send the firmware update through Axe-Edit, it says 'Hardware busy'. If I use SendSX, it crashes the program. Has anyone else had any luck with using one of these with Windows 7 64-bit?

I have a Windows 7 64-bit machine and one of the black looking cables shown in the instructions. When I plug the USB Midi cable into the USB port (just the cable by itself, not connected to any musical gear on the other end yet), all I ever get is a 'USB Device Not Recognized' message from Windows. The red power LED does turn on the cable.

Sometimes it seems like the In and Out LED's will glow for a few seconds when first plugged in, but eventually they turn off and the not recognized message gets shown by Windows. When I go into Device Manager, I do NOT see a VIEWCON device listed under 'Sound, video, and game controllers'. Instead I get Unknown Device listed under 'Universal Serial Bus controllers' with the yellow warning icon associated with it. Trying to use Unknown Device to then install the driver does not work. For those of you that have gotten this to work, am I doing something wrong?
